Episode 47: Sylvia Likens
Sylvia Likens was born in 1949 to carnival workers, Lester and Betty. Sylvia and her sister Jenny often stayed with family or other caretakers as their parents traveled for work, and were placed under the care of Gertrude Baniszewski in 1965.
Over the next few months Sylvia would experience horrifc and unthinkable torture, not only at the hands of Gertrude, but her children and their friends as well. This abuse would unfortunately lead to the death of Sylvia. Would these terrible people get the punishment they deserved for tormenting, and ultimately murdering, Syliva Likens?
